MINORS IN THE PITS
• If you have a minor (under age 18) coming into the pits, they must have a complete (and signed by a parent/guardian) Minors Release. No one under 18 is admitted into the pits without one. NOTE: The NASCAR membership form states “If the applicant is under 21 years of age,” however, that does not apply in Vermont. The minors release does not need to be filed if the member is over 18.
• A copy of the birth certificate is required to accompany the Minors Release. Please be sure to bring one with you if you have a minor coming into the pits. Must show I.D. if asked for proof of age (this is enforced). Minor’s release MUST be signed by parent or legal guardian ONLY.
• Once a minors release is filed, it is valid for the rest of the season, and the minor’s name will be included on our list at the pit gate window.
• Minors releases may be obtained by calling or emailing the office, or you can print one here. It saves time if they are done beforehand, but they are available at the pit gate window also.
